2008-10-24 Lately, by Friday I am so tired that I really really want to spend all day in bed, possibly the whole weekend. The ladies are also tired, which means many of our Fridays have me just wanting to lie down and sleep, while the ladies display such rude behavior to each other and me. I end up wanting to scream in frustration or spank or otherwise hit. It isn't a nice feeling.It has been especially bad lately because there is just so much extra stuff: Costumes, I've been volunteering for a local (and a national) campaign, and of course all the regular stuff that seems to fall solely to me (can anyone say empty the dishwasher). So, I've been saying--well after election day--then I can rest. The costumes will be done, the campaigns over and life can go back to normal. Then one of the mom's called the other day to ask if we could bring cookies--individually wrapped in wax paper--on Friday the 7th for some spotlight of disabilities day thing. Then we got a birthday party invitation for the 8th. So then I thought ok--by the 10th! Then I found out I'm to work until midnight on the 11th. And then realized that no, it just never ends. There will always be some fricking time wasting thing that I'll have to cram into my already stuffed week. And that just made me even more tired.
