Today I have no coherent thoughts, my thoughts are all lists of things, so I thought I'd spill some of the lists over here....I honestly love being a mom. I love lots of things about it and could make a whole list of those, but the list going through my head right now is the list of things I HATE about motherhood at the moment: * How whenever I ask the girls to do a simple "chore" there is much sighing and moaning that sounds like I have just asked them to scrub the toilet with a toothbrush instead of change your pillowcase. * how if I make that same "chore" a "favor" (as in, can you do me a favor) they suddenly fight over it. *fights generally * How every day, *I* feel a little like cinderella trying to get ready for the ball when we are all getting dressed. Some mornings I feel like saying--if any of you stepsisters has a problem with my sash or beads you can STICK IT! *peanut butter--I never really recovered from my aversion I developed when I was pregnant, and yet Emily's favorite breakfast right now is cheerios and peanut butter. (don't ask) I of course have the list of things to do today: *Make tomato sauce early *cook spaghetti squash *run *wash sheets *try to clean something else *track my food on sparkpeople *finish emptying the trash *put away photos from end of the school year *write something for the knitting blog I have a list of things I will do after the girls start school which is not until September 8 *rewire lamp *de-mildew shower *clean guest-room *scrub bathroom floors *start new lace knitting project *begin sewing halloween costumes *get my engagement ring resized (smaller so it fits) I should probably end this with things I love about being a mom, but since I started this entry I've had to tell the girls not to squirt each other with water--it isn't 70 degrees yet and tell them not to bring bugs in the house (just to warm up, mom!) But just know September 8 is going to be bittersweet--I'm sure I'll be fine until noon when I realize they still have 3.5 hours left of school.
